Education during Pandemic: Perspectives of Secondary School English Teachers from Malaysia, Nepal, and Bangladesh

One of the most affected sectors during COVID-19 pandemic was education. Abrupt and sudden changes in teaching learning practices that teachers students experienced were unprecedented, effect is still felt today. Hence, study sought to identify challenges secondary English language Bangladesh, Malaysia Nepal faced pandemic. Adopting a Comparative Case Study (CCS) research model, this transnational effort explore experiences cross-border ELT professional community under various restrictions limitations imposed by governments response ongoing Five key emerged findings, namely: (i) dificulties, (ii) unreliable invalid assessments, (iii) infrastructural hurdles home environment, (iv) student displacement, (v) compromised teacher wellbeing. In retrospect, there cause for optimism as acquired crucial survival skills, yet remain valid day. So stakeholders must vigilant devise robust measures anticipation future events kind scale.
